| Job Description |
Essential Functions:
- Work on Advanced Product Quality Planning including Process FMEA, Process Control plan and inspection instructions and preparing PPAP submission documents to customer.
- Lead problem solving teams in non reversible corrective actions including help to design error-proof methods/devices to prevent defects from occurring.
- Assist in problem solving with supplier for product identified as nonconforming and support supplier development activities.
- Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation, including testing frequencies for CMM.
- Establish program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurements, and analytical equipment and facilities.
- Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing of product.
- Compiles and writes training material, work instructions, and conducts training sessions for quality control and assurance activities.
- Implement and monitor statistical process control activity as required by the customer and internal requirements.
Additional Expectations and Requirements:
- Involvement in continuous improvement activities.
- Communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal personnel via email, face to face communication, and/or phone communication.
- Work in fast paced manufacturing environment, handle multiple project at the same time.
- Visit customer sites as required for resolution of quality and/or related issues including assist in new product launches, quality problems, and/or implementation of new product changes.
- Supervisory role over quality technicians and auditors.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Work Environment: The work environment is mixed of office (air conditioned) and shop floor - non-air/conditioned as per the type of issue/activities involved in. Fast paced manufacturing environment with multiple tasks at the same time. Moderate noise level, occasional high noise level. |

| Qualifications |
Education:
Degree in engineering discipline (Metallurgical and/or welding experience required).
Minimum of five (5) years of quality engineering experience in automotive manufacturing environment.
Ability to effectively present information.
Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
Six Sigma Greenbelt certification is a must, Black belt certification preferred.
Good Communication Skills both verbal and written.
Excellent problem solving skills. Ability to lead people in finding innovative solutions
Very well rounded experience in Advanced Quality Planning activities development of PPAP documentation.
Detailed experience in statistical process control area.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience in TS 16949 based quality system. |
